Changing lives through coffee and bread

Asiyo, one of our Online Sales Representatives, recently went to Change Please, one of our partners, to get feedback about our wholesale service. Here’s her chat with cafe manager Maik.

Asiyo: What made you want to work in a social enterprise?

Maik: I prefer doing something that has meaning and that helps people and does good for the world.  It feels more rewarding when you are doing something that helps build up a community and makes society a better place.

A: What do you like about working at Change Please?

M: It's having a new challenge every day, a new trainee, helping others and just building up their confidence through coffee and customer service.

A: Why did you want to partner with Breadwinners?

M: I thought it was a great idea, as a social enterprise, to be supporting other social enterprises. For me, it's like a full circle. What we’re doing is all good.

A: What is it like working with Breadwinners and our sales representatives?

M: It's always been great. All the interactions are all great and I always get quick replies. I don't have anything bad to say.

A: How would you rate your experience with Breadwinners?

M: Excellent.

A: What’s your favourite coffee?

M: An iced cold latte but without the ice, so it’s a cold latte. It’s common in Spain, but not so common here!

A: Would you recommend Breadwinners to your friends?

M: Yeah absolutely. I always tell my friends, “Go and buy from a Breadwinners market stall because you are supporting a very good cause.” It’s always good to support people.

Thanks Maik for chatting to us!
