Breadwinners hits the airwaves!

We were very excited to recently speak to Dance for Refugee on Voices Radio. Georgia, who manages our Risers Programme and Comms, headed down to King’s Cross with Lucky and Florjan, two programme participants, to chat about all things bread, bravery and beats.

It was my first time that I’d been to the radio and it was an amazing feeling!
— Lucky, programme participant

From learning how to speak to customers, to getting support from their mentors, Lucky and Florjan explain how their experience of working at our markets has increased their confidence. Plus, the three talk about their favourite music. It turns out that we may have some dancing sensations amongst us..! Give the interview a listen to discover more.

Lucky:

“The experience was really good! It was my first time that I’d been to the radio and spoken with a microphone. It was an amazing feeling! Now, when I listen back to myself and hear everything I said on the radio about Breadwinners and my experience, it feels even more amazing! I had a great time with Georgia and Florjan. It was such a beautiful day and we also had nice weather!”
