Being a social enterprise is a huge source of pride for us at Breadwinners, and we love being part of this awesome and inspiring community. Today, 19th November, is National Social Enterprise Day, to celebrate the social enterprises around the UK who are making a difference to the people who need it most.

Social enterprises are companies which have a social or environmental mission aiming to create good as well as selling a product or service. They might help reduce inequalities or create opportunities. They might care for the environment and promote more sustainable ways of living. Overall - they make the world a better place. Like we try to do at Breadwinners!

For Social Enterprise Day, we want to share some of our favourite social enterprises that work in our community. As it is coming up to Christmas, we think the awesome products from some of these social enterprises could make fantastic Christmas gifts. We’ve put together a roundup of our top social enterprise products that also help refugees.

  1. NEMI Teas’ ‘A Taste of NEMI’ Hamper

  2. A SonaCircle EqualTee

  3. A handmade Treat Box from Breadwinners (or a voucher)

  4. A bundle of single-origin coffee from Haven Coffee (or get it in our Breakfast pack)

  5. A gift voucher for a Migrateful cooking class

  6. ChooseLove’s iconic design tote bags and t-shirts

  7. A beautiful Christmas wreath by Bread & Roses
